The 2013 British & Irish Lions tour heads back to Australia after a gap of 12 years and will visit many of the same places as the original Lions did way back in 1888, when they also took part in the 1st centenary celebrations of Australia Day.
The ‘Sea of Red’ fans, that will be following the Lions, will be visiting Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Canberra and along the way they will be enjoying the superb sun, surf, wine and a friendly Aussie welcome wherever they go.
To celebrate the Lions’ return, Shoothill, the software development and data visualisation specialists, have created a unique Digital Lions Shirt, on behalf of the principal partner HSBC, containing exclusive images and videos of the Lions team, iconic Lions moments and some of Rugby’s all-time greats.
Fans of the Lions can visit the website and upload their pictures and messages of support for the Team ahead of the Tour, which starts in June 2013. The uploaded messages and images will then become part of the digital shirt and will remain in place throughout the Tour and beyond.
Shoothill Managing Director, Rod Plummer, comments “It is great to be able to play a part in the Lions’ 2013 tour and be able to also give all those people who may not be able to travel a chance to join in the fun and upload their pictures and messages of support for the team”.
