Endangered species and habitats around the world

Fauna & Flora International (FFI)

Fauna & Flora International (FFI), founded in 1903, was the world's first international conservation organisation. Expanding beyond its African origins, FFI succeeded in giving conservation a voice on the international stage and drawing worldwide attention to the plight of rare and endangered species and habitats.

Today FFI's work spans across the globe, with over 100 projects in nearly 40 countries, mostly in the developing world. FFI stands up for biodiversity and aims to show just how relevant it is to all of those who share the planet.

February 2010 sees the start of the Chinese Year of the Tiger. FFI works in Indonesia's Kerinci Seblat National Park to combat Sumatran tiger poaching and protect the big cat's habitat through patrolling.

The tiger image on this page is comprised from hundreds of photos of the many threatened habitats and species around the world that FFI is working to protect.
