Microsoft have just published a case study on Shoothill’s innovative use of advanced mapping technology for a project they did with Stoke-on-Trent NHS Primary Healthcare Trust.
This unique mapping solution compares socio-economic and medical data which, when cross-referenced and visualised on a multi-coloured heatmaps, allows Stoke PCT’s medical professionals and healthcare analysts to see the areas of greatest medical need, enabling them to allocate health resources accordingly.
Although this system was originally created to answer the specific needs of Stoke PCT, Shoothill believe it could become a crucial part of any regional healthcare trust or medical service in enabling them to allocate resources, spot anomalies and save potentially millions of pounds per year.
